Nemat Abdela launches Noted music agency
Eritrean-born UK-based music executive Nemat Abdela has launched a new marketing agency called Noted.
Abdela said Noted would put artists and music first, and offer a range of services including consultancy, campaign management, team management, marketing, creative commissioning, release strategy and digital service provider pitching.
“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Noted and continue to support artists in the music industry,” Abdela said. “With a dedicated, full-service agency, we can provide our clients with the comprehensive support they need to take their careers to the next level. We are dedicated to developing the artist’s unique proposition and building a musical world for fans to champion, and our aim is to disrupt the status quo and break artists on their own terms.”
Before launching Noted, Abdela worked at music management and publishing company Since '93, where she served as the head of marketing and led campaigns for Cat Burns, Tems, Fredo, Khamari, Mette, Loski and more.
She began her career with the 3MusicStore and then served at VidZone Digital Media, where she worked with Faithless. She then moved to the marketing department at Columbia Records, working on Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America’ and releases by DigDat, Dominic Fike and others. She also worked at Sony Music.
Abdela recently hinted at the new move on social media, saying she was excited for the next chapter of her professional career.
“End of an era. After nine years at Sony Music Entertainment starting at Pitched Up/Sony RED, Columbia Records, then Since '93, this chapter of my life comes to a close. Thank you all for the beautiful send-off, I'm going to miss seeing your faces every day. It’s going to be sensational,” she said.
