Open call: Afrique Créative acceleration programme for CCIs
Applications are currently ongoing for the 2023 Afrique Créative acceleration programme for companies in the African cultural and creative industries (CCIs).
This initiative offers support, including financial grants ranging from €30 000 (about $31 000) to €60 000, business guidance and creative assistance to facilitate the execution of an acceleration project.
The objective of the project is to strengthen the capacities of entrepreneurs, support them in their scaling up and prepare them for future fundraising.
All costs associated with the Afrique Créative programme, such as participation in face-to-face boot camps (covering travel and accommodation), will be fully covered for the programme’s duration.

Key Phases
1. Pre-incubation phase (three months):
- Participants will receive technical support to enhance their entrepreneurial skills, overseen by a local incubator.
- Access to e-learning training, covering various subjects such as HR management and marketing.
2. Pitching:
- Entrepreneurs will have the chance to pitch their acceleration project in front of a jury comprising cultural, institutional figures and potential investors.
- The jury will select the top 15 projects for further technical and financial support.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Operate within the cultural and/or creative sectors (e.g. design, audiovisual or musical production, performing arts, etc.).
- Be a private legal entity (e.g. company, association, etc.).
- Be based in one of the following 12 countries: South Africa, Benin, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Kenya, Morocco, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Tunisia.
- Have been in operation for a minimum of two years.
- Be legally registered with the relevant national authorities and possess legal status, including a governance body (board of directors, management committee, etc.).
- Complete the application with all requested documents in either French or English.
