Yamkela DJ is a house music DJ and producer hailing all the way from Eswatini. The DJ bug bit him at the tender age of 14 and hasn't looked back since.The passion for deejaying has seen Yamkela DJ gigging all over Eswatini, South Africa, Mozambique respectively, having shared the stage with illustrious artists like K.O, Simmy, Sun El Musician, Lamiez Holworthy, Aymos, Professor and amapiano duo Mellow and Sleazy to name a few. Yamkela DJ had the honour of being featured as a DJ Challenge finalist on #TheHouseConnect on 5fm hosted by DJ Loyd, as well as being featured as a guest DJ on YFM on the #PlugBattle hosted by DJ Supta, as well as being featured on Radio 2000.

Yamkela DJ's signature sound is commercial house, which may also be referred to as urban dance house or progressive house. Over the years Yamkela DJ has grown to be confident in genres outside of commercial house, including afro deep, afro house, deep house and the ever notorious amapiano. What sets Yamkela DJ apart is that he can create a set that suits the time, location, theme and other details of any gig. His versatility has led him to playing at kids parties, to weddings to corporate events and renowned nightclubs in and outside of Eswatini, not to men- -tion being featured as a guest DJ on EBIS 2, 5FM, YFM, Radio 2000 to name a few. Yamkela DJ makes full use of samples and acapellas to make his sets that much unique, as well as to capture the attention of the audience, creating a memorable performance which almost always leaves the audience yearning for more. He takes inspiration from DJs including Shimza, Black Coffee, DJ Kent, Euphonik/Themba, DJ Fresh. Yamkela DJ spends any spare time scouring the internet looking for music from the 2000s to unreleased tracks of today.
