Bio
Lebohang Kgapola is a gospel singer from Johannesburg, South Africa.
She was raised in Mpumalanga province where she began singing in church choirs at the age of seven. Her professional career began in 2011 when she moved to Pretoria and played with bands like Just Friends, Apple Soul, Zuri-Afrika, Morning Dew, Den Wade, Paseka, Morayks and DJ Micks.
The singer has worked with award-winning artists such as Khaya Mthethwa, Neville D, Ernie Smith, Loyiso Bala, Lira, Kelly Khumalo, Brian Temba, Israel Houghton among others. She has featured on the following albums: Khaya’s award winning live DVD 'The Dawn', Loyiso’s 'Kingdom Come' and Ernie Smith’s 'Closer'.
In August 2017 Lebohang won the Independent National Gospel Music Award at the fourth edition of Annual SA Ingoma Awards. That same year in September, she opened for Stellar award winner Da T.R.U.T.H during his South African tour. In November 2017, she recorded her debut Live DVD and released it April 2018. The DVD was on second position on local iTunes Gospel Albums Charts and Number 1 on Google Play Gospel Charts. It was five times nominated at the 2018 edition of the SA Ingoma Awards.
ln 2018 she was among artists who opened for US gospel artist Todd Dulaney. Lebohang also recorded a song with Dulaney. Kgapola showcased at the 2018 edition of the Midem Conference in France.
Lebohang has featured on TV shows such as Afro Café, Gospel Alive, Gospel Classics, SA Idols and Stripped Down. She has appeared on TV programmes like Dumisa TV, SABC2' Morning Live and Expresso.
