Call for applications: Research residencies in Switzerland
Pro Helvetia Johannesburg is calling on artists and cultural operators from southern Africa to apply for research residencies in Switzerland.
Pro Helvetia will offer residencies to Southern African and Swiss artists and cultural practitioners in the following disciplines: music, literature, theatre, dance, visual arts, curation, festival organisation as well as design and interactive media.
A research residency, which takes place for a maximum of four weeks, will enable artists and cultural practitioners to carry out research in the European country.
The aim of a residency is to explore possibilities for a collaborative or exchange project between Switzerland and southern Africa. Pro Helvetia supports the compilation of the visiting programme and will cover travel, accommodation, insurance and per diem expenses.

- A convincing track record: professional activity above and beyond local/regional – context-related motivation.

- Relevant language skills (English, French and/or German).
Applicants from the following countries in the southern African region may apply: Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Zambia and Zimbabwe.
