Christi Warner
Bio
Born Christi Nomath Warner in Windhoek, Namibia, Christi Warner is an RnB singer, songwriter, performance poet and actress. Her passion to become a music writer was stimulated when she started writing poetry at the age of 14. She began her life as a full-time musician when she met Bolie Mootseng (of the Kalaharians) and Stoopie, who invited her to collaborate on a song. In 2001, Christi joined an RnB group, X-Plode, which also comprised of Jaicee James and Lizell Swartz.
In 2005, she released a single ‘The Radio Will Die’. In May 2008, Christi released her debut album, ‘I Found my Rhythm’, including a video for the single ‘One On One’. In 2009 she featured on Rafiqi’s album ‘Kalimpantu’.
Apart from music, Christi is a theatre practitioner and freelance journalist for the New Era ArtLife. Most people still remember Christi for her role as television presenter Lady Makhosa on ‘Soul Makhosa’, a Namibian music video show that broadcast on NBC television in 2003.
