Call for nominations: 2019 Starqt Awards

The nominations are in eight categories, which include Entertainment, Business, Unsung Heroes, Lifestyle, Sports, Community, Global, and Miss and Mr Uganda South Africa.

Ugandan musician Sheebah will headline the awards ceremony, which will be hosted by Ugandan TV personality Sheila Gashumba.

“Everything we do is fuelled by our passion for celebrating the power of unity, acknowledging whose actions and hard work have impacted on society. As we set inspiration to the rest targeting development among all,” an official statement on the Starqt website says.

“The Starqt Awards Entertainment sector is dedicating time to highlight these music and art key players, creative individuals and innovative firms who have provided the world with new, cutting-edge entertainment. Hence supporting and empowering young people in the urban community."

Voting starts on 14 August and interested candidates can submit their nomination here.
