Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards 2019: All the nominees
The nominees for the 2019 edition of the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards (MKHMAs) were announced at Zone 6 in Soweto, South Africa, at the weekend.
The awards ceremony, which is in its fourth year, will be held at the Big Top Arena in Carnival City on 30 November.
“I am humbled by the love and passion these young musicians have for kwaito music and believe that major radio day stations are at a great loss by not playing music from upcoming musicians,” MKHMA CEO Perfecta Malinga said.
“It’s been a challenging four years but God has been great to us. I urge all South Africans, and especially mainstream media, to support these young stars and preserve kwaito and support our artists by playing local music.”
Voting lines are now open and will close on 3 November. To vote for your favourite artist, group or radio personality, send a text to 40439 in the following format: Name of category, favourite artist/group, song/album to 40439 at R2 per SMS/vote.
