SA: Lwah Ndlunkulu shares second album Amaciko
South African Afro-pop and urban maskhandi artist Lwah Ndlunkulu has released her second studio album, Amaciko, under Inkabi Records. The 12-track project follows her multi-award-winning debut Imizwa and marks a new phase in her career that extends beyond music.

The release coincides with the launch of two new ventures, Amaciko Foods and Amaciko Production, which the artist says are inspired by the same cultural and creative values that shape her music.
Described as a tribute to the “custodians of art and culture”, Amaciko blends soulful Afro-pop melodies with traditional Zulu instrumentation, showcasing the urban maskhandi sound that Ndlunkulu and her team have developed.
“Amaciko is more than an album; it’s the birth of a new chapter that encompasses my art and my spirit of enterprise,” Ndlunkulu said. “The name honours the skilled artisans and custodians of our culture, which is what I aim to be through my music, and now through my new ventures.”
Ahead of the official release, Amaciko was previewed at two private listening sessions. The first took place on 30 September at the Playhouse in Durban, attended by family members including Ndlunkulu’s grandmother. A second session was held on 2 October at Propstar in Johannesburg, where the artist introduced her new sound to an urban audience.
Through Amaciko and her new initiatives, Ndlunkulu continues to explore the relationship between cultural preservation, contemporary expression and entrepreneurship within South Africa’s evolving music landscape.
