Here's who you can see at Corona Sunsets Festival 2020 in Cape Town
The 2020 Corona Sunsets Festival will be held at the Bungalow Clifton & Oval Field in Cape Town, South Africa, on 28 March.
Confirmed international artists include electronic duo Gorgon City (UK) and Purple Disco Machine (Germany). They will be joined by local acts Black Coffee, Shimza, DJ Maphorisa, GoodLuck, Dean Fuel, Bantwanas, Abby Nurock, Strange Loving and Pierre Johnson.
Corona Sunsets Festival will also go to Durban and Johannesburg on 5 September and 5 December, respectively. The line-ups for the Durban and Johannesburg events are yet to be confirmed.
“Returning for its fifth year to the epic venue, Corona Sunsets Festival Cape Town will launch the 2020 calendar with the feel people know and love,” the organisers said.
Gorgon City is among the most sought-after electronic acts in the UK. Comprising producers Kye ‘Foamo’ Gibbon and Matt ‘RackNRuin’ Robson-Scott, the duo shot to fame seven years ago with the ‘Real’ single, which was followed by ‘Ready for Your Love’, which reached No 4 in the UK.
The second international headliner in Cape Town, Purple Disco Machine, made waves in 2009 with his successful nu-house music project, and in 2013 made a serious breakthrough with ‘My House’. Since then, Purple Disco Machine has shot up the charts, earning himself the accolade of Beatport’s best-ever seller.
