Call for applications: Beyond Quantum Music creations
The Beyond Quantum Music project is looking for artistic creations with an immersive, audio-visual focus.
The project is co-financed by Creative Europe, a €1.46bn EU programme for the cultural and creative sectors for 2014 to 2020.
Launched in 2015, Beyond Quantum Music is a project that explores the connections between visual arts, music and quantum physics using artistic experimentation, resulting in live performances and other types of interactions with European audiences. The project presents quantum physics and the quantum world to a wider audience and contributes to the creation of a new music genre: quantum music.
Project eligibility
Beyond Quantum Music is looking for artistic creations with an immersive, audio-visual focus exploring the possibilities of the quantum synthesizer and/or the quantum soundbank. This can be either in the form of a (live) performance, an installation or a combination of both.
The woks must be generated using Quantum Oscillator, a software instrument designed for use in Ableton Live. You should have Ableton Live (version 9 or 10) and Max for Live already installed on your computer (or just Ableton Live Suite, which already includes Max for Live in it).
A detailed explanation about how the Quantum Oscillator works is available here. The installation package for Quantum Oscillator can be downloaded here. Read the installation procedure here.
The Ableton Live 10 trial version can be downloaded here.
For additional explanations or assistance with the Quantum Oscillator, send an email to mladenovic.andrej3@gmail.com.
