Desmond Lamptey

Desmond Lamptey is a Ghanaian broadcaster with more than 20 years of experience. He has worked with a number of local radio stations including the state broadcaster, GBC. He holds an MPhil in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

Desmond Lamptey's career began with Radio Lynk on Kumasi Polytechnic campus. It carried on to Continental Radio on KNUST campus, Space FM in Sunyani, Radio B. A. R. (GBC) in Sunyani, Radio Ghana, Uniiq FM (GBC) in Accra, Radio XYZ and currently, Class FM.

For the past years, he's designed shows with content, produced and presented relevant and engaging radio. He's hosted numerous shows on radio including morning show, drive time, mid-morning, late-night shows, gospel music shows, personality shows and even specialized music shows like country, jazz, reggae, classical music and more. He also currently lectures at Ghana's premier media institute, the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
