Tangas

Blue gum jazz band is a band from South Africa. The band was started in 2012 under the management of Tangas entertainment. The band consist of 4 members. We started playing at jazz sessions held in different jazz clubs which happened every first Sunday of the month. We also had our own music session, which were organized by the band leader (Dumisani Matanga), who will invite his close and talented friends whom are talented vocally.

From playing in different venues for different crowds, we grew exponentially and that gave us the platform to perform on bigger stages such as Market shed, Market on main and Ekurhuleni Sports awards etc. As a band we play smooth
African jazz sounds (fusion), creating a unique sound that differentiates us from other bands. We have shared stages with well respected international acts such as Naipok(Japan based), Robby Malinga, Musa etc. We've also opened stages for artist like Bheki Khoza etc.

Blue gum jazz band has a well established reputation for bringing an enormous amount of fun to the stage. An extremely versatile artists with the ability to perform a variety of music genres to suit an event.
