Southern African gospel stars to perform in UK and Australia

Dubbed the Ebenezer Gospel Concert, both artists (who have each done a song titled ‘Ebenezer’) will perform some of their best-known tracks. The show will also feature UK-based African gospel artists, namely Godfrey Mondlane, Timothy Ngwenya, Kingdom Praise Melodies, Nkosi ka Ndlovu and Angie Lindiwe.

The two Southern African headliners will use this opportunity to celebrate their success with fans in the diaspora. 

Before touring Europe, the musicians will share the stage at Harare Gardens in Zimbabwe on 17 September to bid farewell to their home fans. 

The duo are also set to stage shows in Australia later this year. “We are most likely to be touring Australia soon after the UK concert as it is now Ebenezer everywhere!” Chivaviro told New Zimbabwe.com.

One of South Africa's biggest gospel artists, Makhabane will use this event to entertain his many fans in the diaspora. His recent album My Journey, released in April 2016, was a welcome comeback for an artist who not long ago stopped releasing music in order to nurture budding artists, which saw him discovering top young gospel talent such as Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Thobekile Mkhwanazi and Tshepiso Motaung.

This will be the third time that Rev. Chivaviro will be performing in the UK, following his debut in Leicester on 30 May 2015 and a performance in London on 6 June that year.
