SA’s Shekhinah releases Trouble in Paradise album
South African R&B artist Shekhinah has released her second album Trouble in Paradise.
The 12-track album is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms. It marks the end of her four-year album hiatus since the release of Rose Gold. Featured songs on the new album include ‘Tides’, ‘Not Safe’, ‘Miserable’, ‘Fixate’ and ‘Questions’.
“Shekhinah navigates love on her highly anticipated sophomore album,” a statement reads. “A well-written tale of the rise and fall you experience when loving someone, being heartbroken and then learning that you should have always loved yourself first.”
The album also explores loss and recovery, and is a thematic departure from Rose Gold.
“Fans are in for a treat with an exceptional storytelling focus, which makes you dig deeper and reflect on your journey and how different moments in your life have made you who you are today.”
Fans took to Twitter to react to Shekhinah’s new album. “One thing about Shekhinah, she cooked and served us flames with this album,” one fan wrote. Another said: “Shekhinah never disappoints, she's good. I'm loving the album, every song is fire.”
