Call for entries: USA Songwriting Competition
The USA Songwriting Competition is calling on artists from around the world to enter this year's edition of the contest.
Now in its 26th edition, the competition targets songwriters, original solo artists and bands around the world, and awards the winners with a top prize of $50 000 and music gear. The winning songs will also receive radio airplay.
The organisers are accepting entries in the following categories:
- Pop
- Rock/Alt
- Folk
- R&B
- Hip hop
- Jazz
- Instrumental
The winners will be selected by a panel of judges, including record label publishers, producers, A&R from Universal Music, Warner, Sony Music and other distinguished professionals.
Last year, American country music singer-songwriter Nashville Andrew Jannakos, who is signed to Sony Music, won the top prize and the Best Country Song award.
“I was so shocked that my song got selected winner of the top prize in the USA Songwriting competition," Jannakos said. “I hope I can continue to make music that you all enjoy. It’s amazing because I’ve also recently been signed to Sony Music Nashville records.”
Interested artists can submit entries online here or download the entry form here and submit it to info@songwriting.net.
The submission deadline is 28 May.
