French Montana stirs up Uganda

Information on his trip is scanty but word is he would be shooting the documentary in several African countries.  Despite keeping his trip on the down low by not informing his fans on social media, the ‘Hold Up’ hit maker was spotted at a café in Entebbe. He hung out with Ugandan artists Eddy Kenzo and Timothy Code.

Speculations are that he will throw in a collabo with Kenzo, who posted photos of himself with the visiting celebrity. The caption read: “Bro French Montana on set”. However, the Ugandan artist could just be taking part in the documentary.

Arnold Jethro, A Ugandan, posted a photo of himself costumed as a Ugandan rebel on Facebook with a caption that read: “On the set of the French Montana video shoot”. He also posted a photo of his brother with Montana on set. Meanwhile, Montana posted several photos and a video of himself with a baby chimpanzee with the caption “New boo alert”.

And in the spirit of sharing, American hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd who also landed in Uganda this week posted a video of the two brothers, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi "on set" with Montana in Kampala, fuelling rumours that they may be shooting a joint project.

The 32 year old immigrated to the United States with his family at age 13. He could only speak Arabic and French, thus his nickname.

Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch is known for his collaborations with P Diddy, Chris Brown and Rick Ross as well as his songs ‘Freaks’ with Nicki Minaj, featuring on Fat Joe and ‘All The Way Up’ with Remmy Ma.
