Tiwa Savage to join Nigerian Entertainment Conference
The annual Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NEC) will be taking place on 26 April at the Landmark Events Centre in Lagos.
As usual, the annual conference will play host to a number of high-profile players in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Last year, the NEC keynote address was given by D'Banj. This year's edition will see the pop star Tiwa Savage give a talk, as will the executive vice-president of Viacom Africa, Alex Okosi. Also speaking at the event are Fuji veteran K1 the Ultimate, producer Cobhams Asuquo, who recently released his first album, and Afropolitan Vibes co-producer Ade Bantu.
Outside of the music industry, Comedians Basketmouth, Teju Babyface and Woli Arole have been confirmed to attend the conference.
The theme for this year’s event is It’s Time for Africa, which according to the organisers will be centred on “conversations on key issues bordering on the structure, policies, business models, benefits of the growing global adoption of African entertainment and how to effectively position the industry in emerging economies to take full advantage of opportunities”.
Tiwa Savage's last album, RED, was released in 2015. A slew of singles have followed since then. She recently collaborated with Ghanaian artist Fuse ODG on the song 'Diary'. To register for the Nigerian Entertainment Conference click here. For more information, visit the NEC website.
