SA: Sjava announces Isibuko Tour dates

Titled Isibuko Tour, the concerts seek to promote his critically acclaimed studio album Isibuko released in January. It will include guest appearances from Ntokozo Mkhize, Saudi, Delayde, Emtee, Lolli Native, Sampa the Great, Q Twins, Mzukulu and Anzo, among others.

The three gigs are a build-up to Sjava’s annual one-man show at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga on 9 December. Dubbed Sjava Live In, the one man show will be the culmination of Sjava’s 2023 calendar, and will feature performances by Shwi, Big Zulu, Mzukulu, Nomfundu Moh, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Mnqobi Yazo, Blaq Diamond and Aubrey Qwana.

“It’s really exciting to take the one man show to a new audience this year,” Sjava said. “Mpumalanga has been a big supporter of my work over the last seven years and it’s a privilege to be able to bring the show to them. I think it’s an opportunity for people who enjoy our music in the other provinces to travel to Mbombela for the show and experience its beauty.”

Sjava’s series of concerts are designed to warm-up his audience and get them in the mood for the epic annual show. In this concert, the entire discography of his work including Isina Muva, Umphako, Umqhele, Umsebenzi and Isibuko will be showcased live.
