Ghana: 1Life Network announces winners of production initiative
Ghana-based production company 1Life Network has announced the beneficiaries of its initiative for undiscovered acts.
The news follows a call for submissions last month in commemoration of the company’s second anniversary, with those selected set to be provided with professional live band production and video shooting services free of charge starting 25 March.
The winners, comprising emerging artists from Ghana and Nigeria, will also receive technical support and guidance from industry experts. The winners include Moffy, Real TNT, Riycon and Kiki Celine.
Each winner, according to a spokesperson from 1Life Network, demonstrated outstanding creativity and talent, with their proposals characterised by captivating storytelling, breathtaking visuals, originality and potential to inspire wide audiences, showcasing a deep passion for their craft and a commitment to making a positive impact.
“Since its inception, 1Life Network has been a staunch advocate for the creative community, championing diversity, inclusivity and innovation at every turn,” a statement reads. “Today, still armed with a mission to empower creators and amplify their voices, the outfit has announced the winners of its free live video shoot initiative as a testament to its unwavering commitment to supporting emerging talent and in commemoration of its second anniversary celebration.”
Moffy, known for his Afro-fusion artistry as part of DROMOBII and 99 PHACES, blends hiplife, Afrobeats and hip hop genres, while Real TNT, hailing from Nigeria but based in Ghana, showcases a style encompassing Afrobeats, R&B, pop and alté, with promising songwriting skills. Riycon, an 18-year-old Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter, boasts a repertoire spanning trap, soul, Afropop and R&B, establishing herself as a versatile artist since turning professional in 2019. On her part, Kiki Celine aims to ascend the ranks in the R&B scene, drawing inspiration from the likes of Baaba J, MzVee, Gyakie, Tems, and SZA.
“To our winners, we want to say congratulations on this well-deserved achievement,” 1Life Network shared. “We cannot wait to see your vision come to life and watch you share it with the world. And to all creators out there, remember that your voice matters, your ideas are unique and your creativity has the power to change society as we know it.”
The company says it remains committed to the creative sector in all its facets, promising continued support through annual initiatives and collaborations, and empowering creators with essential tools and resources.
