ShineTTW named Apple Music’s latest Up Next artist for Nigeria

The Up Next incubation programme was launched in 2017 to spotlight and support emerging talent around the world. ShineTTW, whose work fuses Afropop and R&B, now joins fellow Nigerians such as Qing Madi, Wavy The Creator, Rema, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi and Tems who have previously appeared on the artist development initiative. 

As the latest Up Next Nigeria artist, ShineTTW will feature on Apple Music’s curated playlist spotlighting a diverse selection of emerging talents worldwide selected by the platform’s global editors.

“Being named Apple Music’s Up Next artist is a huge honour and a reward for the hard work and passion I pour into my music,” ShineTTW said. “This recognition not only celebrates my journey so far but also sets the stage for The Chosen One, my first project that embodies my range, artistic vision and unique sound.”

ShineTTW, born Chukwuma Chinaza Ferdinand, began his professional music career in 2018. He is behind songs like ‘No Religion’, ‘Sakura’ and ‘Hiii!’ His debut EP The Chosen One is due this year.
