Open Call: Creative Business Cup Nigeria 2024
Applications are currently ongoing for the 2024 edition of Creative Business Cup (CBC) Nigeria. The initiative is geared towards empowering creative entrepreneurs by connecting them with investors and global markets.
CBC Nigeria seeks to support both individual startups and the entire creative startup ecosystem in the country. Successful applicants stand a chance to win ₦1 million (about $630), an opportunity to join an accelerator programme, a five-day enterprise boot camp, mentoring from a pool of international experts and access to various business support services.
CBC Nigeria 2024 invites entrepreneurs from a wide range of creative sectors, including music, publishing, film, and fashion, among others.
Professionals in the following sectors can apply:
- Music
- Design
- Leisure activities
- Publishing
- Fashion
- Film, video and photography
- Software, computer games and electronic publishing (for creative industries)
- Toys and games
- 3D printing
- Craft and artisan
- Gastronomy
- Architecture
- Experiences technologies
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Be a female entrepreneur from the creative sector.
- Show creativity and innovation.
- Have an idea with business potential.

“Creative industries contribute significantly to economic growth and employment worldwide,’ organisers said. “It also helps develop new and innovative solutions to challenges faced by traditional industries through cross-sector innovation, thereby creating a more dynamic and competitive society. The purpose of CBC Nigeria is to empower not only the participating startups but also the creative startup community throughout Nigeria.”
