Emerging Naija act Eli Jae releases Me and You single

Released via Squareball Entertainment in collaboration with ONErpm, the track is taken from the singer’s sophomore EP, due later this year. 

Produced by Dalorbeats (Davido, P-Square), and engineered by Biano (Rema, Ayra Starr and Tiwa Savage), ‘Me & You’ blends soulful R&B with Afrobeats, and addresses themes of love and intimacy. 

 The song is driven by Eli’s velvety vocals and lyrics that harmonise beautifully with a guitar and percussion-led musical backdrop.

Born and raised in Port Harcourt, Eli Jae cites Afrobeat iconoclast Fela Kuti as a key influence, admitting to also being seeped in ’90s hip hop, R&B and gospel. In September 2023, he released his debut EP Blend, which was met with rave reviews from fans and critics alike, with its standout tracks ‘Most Beautiful’ garnering over half a million streams, and ‘You’ going viral on TikTok with over a million views.
