Open call: Vanacore Music composer residency

The Vanacore Music composer residency is a unique and valuable opportunity for applicants to gain hands-on experience in writing music for media. 

Vanacore Music services TV, films, advertising, and digital media by providing custom scores and a music library for broadcast, branding, and streaming.

Objective

The primary goal of the programme is to nurture new talent, providing up-and-coming composers with the skills, experience, and connections needed to succeed in the competitive field of music for media.

Commitment

Must be available for a minimum of one regularly scheduled group meeting per week beginning in Fall 2024 (exact timing TBD).

Activities

• Music composition: Participants will compose music based on briefs and information provided by our team.

• Educational sessions: Participants will engage in Q&A sessions and workshops with industry professionals, covering various aspects of music composition for media.

• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong commitment to their work.
• Have a proven ability to create high-quality music.
• Have limited access to similar programmes.
• Have reliable access to WIFI for video conferencing.
• Have software to create and export audio for demonstration.
• Have a willingness to accept feedback and notes.
