Iragena Rodriguez is the visionary founder and creative force behind Volkano Fest, a dynamic fusion of music, art and cultural exploration that happens on the banks of Virunga mountain every october in northern Rwanda. With a rich background in media production on radio and TV, both as an employee and freelancer, Iragena brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the festival scene. Before his journey into the realm of cultural experiences, Iragena honed his skills in various productions, including films, events, commercials, and music videos. Since 2015, Iragena has served as the co-director of a prominent media production company specializing in crafting digital content for local and regional institutions.

His company also curates multimedia experiences for esteemed international organizations, such as NGOs, embassies, and multinational corporations, further solidifying his reputation as a trailblazer in the realm of arts and culture. Through his passion for music promotion and dedication to fostering cultural dialogue, Iragena continues to redefine the landscape of festivals, leaving an indelible mark on the intersection of creativity and community engagement through Volkano Fest. Volkano Fest Ltd is a dynamic and culturally vibrant production house that aims at strengthening the music industry in Rwanda and the East African community by connecting multidisciplinary artists and equipping them with the ability to produce and showcase high quality content, on a local, regional, and global scale. Volkano Fest (Ltd) was formed in 2021 and officially registered in 2023 to fill the gap in the arts and culture sector business in Rwanda. During the past years of operations important achievements were made whilst lessons were learnt and best practices gained.
