South African-born, Germany-based indie rock artist SonOfOld has announced his South African tour, with performances scheduled in Underberg, Durban, and Cape Town this April.

SonOfOld is the brainchild of acclaimed singer-songwriter Nic Olsen. The tour follows the release of his nine-track album, Echoes from a Silent Hill, which dropped in September last year. Available for streaming and download on major digital platforms, the album reached No. 2 on the Austrian Indie Charts, where it remained for 11 weeks.
The Munich-based artist will be joined by Matt Wilkinson, his former bandmate and fellow guitarist from Perez, adding an extra layer of nostalgia and musical chemistry to the stage. Together, they will fuse the raw energy of their Perez days with the sonic depth of SonOfOld’s latest work, promising an unforgettable live experience.
Nic Olsen, better known as SonOfOld, is a well-known figure in the South African music scene, having fronted Perez in the early 2000s. His music has earned him two South African Music Award nominations in the Best Rock Album category. As a songwriter, he has also contributed to local indie rock giants The Parlotones, including their platinum-certified anthem Push Me to the Floor.
