
Afro Nation Portugal 2025 to stream globally via TRACE+ partnership
Afro Nation Portugal is set to return from 9 to 11 July 2025 for an anniversary edition on Praia da Rocha beach, Portimão. The star-studded line-up includes African music heavyweights Burna Boy, Tems, Davido, Booba, Joé Dwet Filé, Innoss’B, Naza, and Uncle Waffles, among many others.

For the first time, fans around the world can enjoy the festival experience virtually, thanks to an exclusive partnership with TRACE+, the global streaming platform dedicated to Afro-urban culture. The collaboration offers immersive digital access to Afro Nation 2025, allowing audiences to tune into exclusive content, backstage moments, and artist-curated playlists from anywhere in the world.
As part of the partnership, TRACE+ is offering free premium access through two promotional codes namely AFRONATION2025, available to all users, unlocks one month of free premium access to TRACE+ and AFRONATIONVIP – exclusive to ticket holders, offers three months of free premium access.
Eligibility is verified by matching email addresses with Trace+ registrations. Fans can redeem their codes via www.trace.plus, accessible on mobile, web, and smart TVs. General Access ticket holders who sign up on TRACE+ and begin streaming will be automatically entered into a draw to win VIP passes to Afro Nation Portugal 2025, each valued at €599 (about $680). Winners will receive a complimentary upgrade from General Access to VIP.
The collaboration between Afro Nation and TRACE is being hailed as more than a media deal, but a cultural movement aimed at elevating Afro-urban music and amplify voices across the African diaspora.
