Call for volunteers: 2018 ACCES music conference in Nairobi
The Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF), a pan-African organisation, seeks volunteers for the ACCES music conference in Nairobi, Kenya, from 15 to 17 November 2018 at the Kenya National Theatre.
This is a perfect opportunity for young, vibrant people aspiring to start or further their careers in the music/arts industry and events production sector. We invite interested candidates, especially persons currently studying or working in the arts and culture scene in Nairobi, to apply for this opportunity.
Key responsibilities will include supporting some of the following areas:
- Conference registration processes.
- Exhibitions coordination.
- Catering processes.
- General support to delegates during conferences.
- Performance and stage management support.
- Technical and logistical support.
- Venue preparation.
- Production crew support.
Requirements
- Studying/working in a relevant sector or previous study/work experience.
- Good command of Swahili and English.
- Available to work from 14 to 18 November 2018.
- Available to attend orientation on 13 November 2018.
- 18 years or older.
- Advantageous: candidates who have some work experience in the abovementioned key responsibility areas.
Remuneration
- The MIAF will pay volunteers a stipend.
- Volunteers will receive a letter of service.
