Titahot

Abdulrahman Opeyemi Teslim (born December 1991), also known as Titahot, the Boss-Boy, is a northern Nigerian singer and songwriter. Titahot was born in Kano, Nigeria. He had his basic and secondary education at Mulco Science and Commercial College Kano from where he moved to Kwara State to obtain his National Diploma in Mass Communication.
He started recording music in 2012 and has recorded series of tracks which include; ‘Better than Them’, ‘pretty lady’, ‘my face’, ‘baby’ and ‘fine lady’ but he did not release them until in 2016 when he released some of his songs to the world such as ‘pretty lady’, ‘my face’, and ‘better than them. He currently owns the Zamani Empire with acronym Z E.
LIFE AND MUSIC CAREER
1995-2010: EARLY LIFE AND CAREER BEGINNINGS
Titahot was born on 20 December in the 90s in Naibawa, a residential and commercial area of Kano. He grew up in an interfaith household with one female and male siblings. His mother is a Pentecostal Christian and his father practiced Islam. In a 2016 radio interview with Bilio Dala Radio, kano, he said while he was growing up, he listened to songs like of; Bob Marley, 2pack, Lil Wayne, Wizkid, P-square and some other artists among others which served as his source of inspiration. In a separate interview with Dr pure, on Rahman radio, ,kano, Titahot described his life in a nutshell. He said he formed a group called Zamani Empire Dynasty with some of his secondary school mates to help project his works and that has over the time served as his label name. The group released some of his tracks out after they have been published on net. Titahot was also interviewed by Arewa24 TV at the Arewa Music and Movie award (AMMA), were he stated that, this year 2016 would be the step of his success by God grace. Titahot had met with Nomiss Gee, who is the founder of KaiKauce and also a presenter in Arewa24 TV; Nomiss Gee helped him to drop some tracks from 2016-2017 and cautioned him from dropping songs anyhow. On one of his visits to Nomiss Gee, he met with Abdulrahman Sonjo a project manager of Cams Nigeria (AMMA award organizers).
Likita Waka who is also known as Fulbery, DJ Onto recorded most of Titahot’s tracks published on net. Titahot cited Likita Waka as one of the people who mentored and coached him when he started recording.
One of his hit tracks titled ‘Fine lady where he featured Imhali trend in 2018 and the track led to his first award from Arewa Kutash Group as the Best Musician of the year 2018. Meanwhile Titahot was nominated as the Roocky artist of the year 2017 at Arewa Movie and Music Award (AMMA).
