Call for applications: The Music Imbizo 2019

The event will run under the theme, Governing the Music Industry – Whose Business Is It Anyway? and host a series of showcases across genres in various venues around the coastal city. The selected musicians will share the stage with prominent African artists in front of festival curators, booking agents, promoters and delegates.

The Music Imbizo will introduce carefully curated showcases that will combine seasoned musicians with some of the most promising talent from jazz, gqom/EDM, hip hop, reggae, roots, rock and classical.

The organisers are also looking for speakers, researchers and industry players who are willing to contribute to the panel discussions, round tables and presentations around the aforementioned theme.
