Ade
Bio
Ade is an award-winning author, writer, and spoken word artist, ADE is a tapestry of creativity woven from the threads of music, poetry, and healing. Born under the August sun in the early '90s, he has lived a life described by some as an "Indigo Warrior," by others as a "beast of bliss," yet known to all as Mandela Matur.
Raised across various cities, each with its unique heartbeat, Ade became a vessel for the vibrations of sound and the power of words. His soul resonated with the rhythms of hip-hop and the legacy of musical legends from the '70s to the '90s. The echoes of Elvis, Lennon's lyrics, and Tupac's raw energy touched his spirit. As the new millennium dawned, music became his sanctuary, a refuge from the confines of authority, conformity, religion, and convention.
His journey into artistry began with childhood melodies on an organ, leading to his first recorded track in 2012. His mixtape "The Revolution" marked the start of a prolific path. His pen danced across pages, birthing albums like "Deep Elevation" and "State of the Nation EP," "The Stories Untold" and books of poetry, including "Lemonade Love" "Passionate Elixir" and the acclaimed "Stranded Lullabies," which crowned him with literary accolades in South Sudan.
During the global pause in 2020, Ade embarked on a journey through his homeland, capturing the essence of home, healing, and identity in "The Tales of the Traveling Poet EP". His exploration of masculinity in "If Men Cried" in 2021 and his latest spoken word album "Spirituality Love and Sex" continues to explore the human experience with profound intimacy and insight.
ADE is not just an artist; he is an alchemist of emotions, a seeker of truth, and a beacon for those who find solace in the art of words. His work is a testament to the transformative power of healing & creativity, inviting us all to explore the depths of our own stories and the vastness of human connection.
