Bio
Alassane Badboy, born in Rufisque, lives in Thiès.
He's part of NoOx Worldwide, producing and developing his live and discographic projects with local and international musicians.
His music is a proposal of innovative sounds, rooted in the Senegalese West African culture and influenced from the international & pan-African sounds, such as soul, reggae, afro-pop, afro-rock, funk, salsa.
His band, the "Conquerors" have a remarkable music background, being musicians for big named artists (Omar Péne, Youssou Ndour, Maria Siga, Souleymane Faye, Carlou D...).
He is an international artist, already included in International line-up & Showcases Festivals, such as the Dakar Music Expo, Stereoafrica, Afrobrix, Electropark, Sofar Sound and has already toured twice in Italy (Winter '21 & Summer '22) with numerous dates of concerts and live performances in the country.
Creative Director of several live concert shows in Senegal, such as Thiakaay.
He gives a strong importance to Wolof songwriting and decolonization of the Senegalese/African storytelling through a fresh and realistic photography of his reality.
Sufism is a strong element in his creation, so Pan Africanism is; his inspirations comes from great artists and performers such as Aminata Fall, Youssou N’dour & Baaba Mall, Fela Kuti...
He’s involved in the Opera Choral of the Italian Embassy of Dakar with the vocal coach Hadar Halevy De Vito. This is a radical feature in the vocal interpretation of Alassane that can vary from a falsetto and sweet tone to a grave and baritone one.
