DJ BlackJean, whose real name is Gosiame Maodi, is a prominent figure in the House Music scene, hailing from Ga-Rankuwa, Pretoria, South Africa. His journey into music began in the early 2000s when he studied Sound Engineering at C.O.P.A Edenvale and Digital Sound Engineering at Damelin College.

BlackJean’s passion for music is evident in his unique style and depth on the turntables. He runs a recording studio in his hometown called “Jeans Records,” where he not only produces his own music but also provides opportunities for other artists. He is also the founder of the live band 60 Hertz Project, which has produced hits like “Capricorn EP” and "Tapta Beach EP".

His music has been released on several prestigious labels, including GOGO Music, DeepTone Recordings, and Deeper Shades Of House1. BlackJean’s production resume includes popular tracks such as “Meant For Me EP” and "Fallen EP". In addition to his impressive career, DJ BlackJean recently won the DJ Turntables Titans Competition Season 1, further cementing his status as a leading DJ and producer in the industry.
