Choko
Bio
Choko (born Boichoko Qwabe) is an artist from South Africa.
She graduated from the University of the Free State with a Bsc in Human & Societal Dynamics. Choko became the lead singer for the University of the Free State Gospel Choir, which saw her making her first appearance on SABC 2 Gospel Time.
She was also a member of the Bloemfontein Ensemble Gospel Group that reached the semi-finals of the Gospel Stars in 2005. Since then, Choko has been going strong and her debut album is available on all digital music platforms/stores. The very album that saw her scooping a Golden Bean award in Best Female Artist 2014 and a SATMA Award in 2015.
Her music is about love, life, happiness and choices. She has shared the stage with artists likes Zonke, Stimela, The Muffins, Mi Casa, Vusi Mahlasela, Zahara, Chrisette Michele, Chante Savage and many others.
