Introduction
Makcabo was founded in the Netherlands in the 1980s with a group of Ghanaian musicians.
The founder Mr. Nii Aryee Ankrah is a professional drummer, a songwriter and a composer have been working and touring alongside with very great African and other international musicians across the globe in the 1980s.
Mr. Nii Aryee Ankrah popularly known as Mr. Brown finally retired and settled back in Ghana (His Homeland) in the year 2009.
Still focus and energetic as He is, Mr, Brown reenergized himself to reform Makcabo with young professional great musicians he found in Ghana to continue His music passion to push the agenda and dream to the world at large.

Makcabo Meaning
"Makcabo" is a Ga language word (A tribe in Ghana called Ga), which literally mean "punch" its explains that Makcabo music will "punch" You positively, when listening to our music such that, there is no other option but only for You to dance, shake your legs to follow our music patterns, elements, and rhythms in a happy mood.

Our Music Style
Makcabo music is inspired from afro-jazz fusion with a unique, distinct, and creative style based on indigenous authentic Accra fish folk’s music patterns known to the average Ghanaian as "Jama" & "Kolomashi" which we have refined to its sweetest.

Makcabo Launched the Afi oo Afi EP on the 10th august 2022.

• Makcabo have been Guest Performer at Chop n Chill most recently
• Makcabo was guest performer at the recent Ghana-India Trade Advisory Chamber Business Explosion at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel
