Neville Sigauke

When it comes to that authentic African sound no one beats Neville Sigauke with his Mbira Dze Hip Hop. He has found a way of collaborating the Mbira a sound box instrument popular in Zimbabwe with the Shona culture and fusing it with Hip Hop drums and verses. His latest instalment is the genesis of great things to come from Neville Sigauke as it is titled Paivapo: Mbira Dze Hip Hop which translates to Once upon a time: Mbira Dze Hip Hop (There was).

The Zimbabwean born artist now based in South Africa recorded this song at Hit Record Studios in Durban. For those who didn’t know Hit Record SA has also worked with artists such as Zakwe, Nasty C and Buffalo Souljah. So, you can see Neville Sigauke is taking no chances with his craft. Originally from Chipinge, Born in Chitungwiza and grew up in Bulawayo Neville Sigauke is a Recording Artist, Mbira Player, Producer, and Chanter who had this to say about his latest song, “Paivapo : Mbira Dze Hip Hop is a song about Introducing, revealing myself, sound to the world & music industry.”
