Peter Adedeji
Bio
Peter Adedeji is a music composer, performer and educator from Nigeria.
He studied music education at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Otto/Ijanikin, Lagos. He also studied at SPAN Academy of Jazz and Contemporary music. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in music at the University of Ibadan.
While at SPAN, he had the opportunity to learn with masters in an exchange program at Tswhane University of Technology, South Africa. He has also studied at various jazz workshops and masterclasses with top jazz educators like Mark Kross (New York) and Frank Carlberg (associate professor at Berklee College of Music).
He has performed music at the Lagos International Jazz Festival with the notable international jazz artistes; Bright Gain(Nigeria) and Victor Masondo (South Africa).
He has taught in SPAN Academy and at various music academy in Lagos which include Fame house of music, Afresh music and Firstclass music academy. He has also taught in masterclasses and workshops in Lagos, Ibadan and in the northern part of the country.
He's currently playing with the speaking heart jazz quartet. He has to his credit various tunes, jazz etudes and arrangements.
