Wowo Mndau
Bio
Wowo Mndau is a a jazz pianist, composer, performer and producer from South Africa. He started his music journey at church being taught the piano basics by his late uncle( Dan Mndawe). Later registered with UNISA to learn staff notation, that helped him to develop himself in learning how to play Jazz.
He was employed as an in-house Pianist at Sheraton Hotel Pretoria as from 2004-2007 and a music teacher at the State Theater being offered a six months contract. Performed at t Solomon Mahlangu's unveiling in Mamelodi. Performed with local bands and well known artists like Selaelo Selota.
Currently he runs his own independent record label (Meek Music) with 6 releases including Albums, EPs and Singles. His favorite Album is "Hills and Streams", released during Covid 19 lockdown. His compositions are playlisted on international radio stations and public/private local radio stations.
He spends most of his time creating new music.
