Brymo to release album in September

The forthcoming album, titled Trance, is a compilation album of sorts featuring a meld of tracks from earlier albums Merchants, Dealers & Slaves and Tabula Rasa. Trance is aimed at the American market—and comes after the March 2015 recording and distribution deal the artist signed with US company Tate Music Group (TMG).

“We picked songs from those album,” said Lanre Lawal, head of Brymo’s management company Bali Entertainment Company, “because we wanted to test what can fly on international radio and market; we also believe more people still need to hear songs from those album.”

TMG is also responsible for the international distribution of work from singer Nomoreloss. With Brymo, the company will distribute both digital and physical copies of Trance. Before the deal with the American company, Brymo had recorded critical success, winning the songwriting category at the All Africa Music Awards in 2014. He won the award for the song ‘Down’, a single from his sophomore Merchants, Dealers and Slaves.
