Byta partners with Mailchimp to streamline audio integration in campaigns
Music-sharing app Byta is rolling out a new innovation to simplify audio integration into campaigns through its recent collaboration with email marketing platform Mailchimp.
The move, made public this week, allows musicians, artists and publicists to effortlessly share music links and playlists as part of their release campaigns or monthly roundup emails, streamlining the music promotion process for enhanced efficiency.
Byta’s integration enables the generation of a code snippet that can be seamlessly inserted into Mailchimp campaign templates. Recipients who click through the email are then redirected to Byta’s platform, where they can easily access and stream or download the shared music.
Byta says the innovation guarantees complete control over restrictions, ensuring privacy and reaching the intended audience, while Mailchimp’s email builder enhances engagement with visually captivating emails, resulting in higher open rates. The platform’s security measures also include one-click watermarking for added protection during pre-release downloads and the ability to track streams and downloads, offering valuable campaign insights.
Users can create a share in Byta by selecting the desired stream and download options, choosing the file format, and setting an expiry date. Byta then sends the Mailchimp code snippet directly to the user’s email inbox. The process involves pasting the code snippet into a Code Content Block in Mailchimp’s email builder. Once the campaign is ready, recipients can click through to stream or download the music via Byta.
Byta was launched in the UK in 2015 by Canadian industry vet Marc Brown, while Mailchimp, which currently boasts over 2.4 million monthly active users, was founded in 2001.
