Call for applications: Africalia programme assistant in Rwanda
Africalia is accepting applications for a programme assistant officer in Rwanda on a fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate will support the programme officer in coordinating, planning the implementation and monitoring-evaluation of the management of the Capacity Building Programme for cultural actors in cultural administration.
The Capacity Building Programme, which was launched in 2017 and is scheduled to end in 2021, offers training on:
- Project management.
- Cultural policy.
- Cultural economy.
- Cultural policy.
- New technologies.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Assist the programme officer in the coordination and implementation of the activities of the programme.
- Assist the programme officer in the planning, management and monitoring of the activities of the field.
- Prepare and support evaluation and monitoring missions by the partner financial and programme officer.
- Make and verify all payments and ensure that all documents are complete and accurate.
- Maintain and update the programme's accounting records.
- Preparing financial reports and statements for the attention of the programme.
- Ensure the logistical organisation of classroom training and all activities provided for in the overall programme plan.
Requirements
To qualify, the applicants must:
- Have a BAC +2 level in any field.
- Have at least two years of experience.
- Be of Rwandan nationality or have a work permit in Rwanda.
- Be fluent in English and French.
- Have experience in project management, development and implementation as well as technical and financial monitoring and evaluation.
- Knowledge of the organisation.
