Call for applications: Artist residency in Austria
The Artists in Residency (AIR) Niederösterreich programme in Austria is accepting applications for its 2021 residency in Krems an der Donau.
The programme seeks to contribute to the internationalisation of art in Austria and to promote a process of interdisciplinary exchange in the arts. Residents will work on their projects in the federal state of Lower Austria and get to know different arts and cultural institutions in the country.
Throughout the residency, artists will receive ongoing assistance and curatorial support in realising their artistic projects.
The residency period is one to three months, and the following creatives can apply:
- Musicians.
- Writers.
- Visual artists.
- Architects.
Residents will receive:
- Studio and living quarters.
- A monthly allowance of €1 300.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Have a degree in a field of art. If the applicant does not have a university degree, proof of equivalent ability must be provided through his or her artistic career.
- Demonstrate regular artistic activity in the proposed areas of funding.
Requirements
- Portrait photograph (JPG, 1MB max).
- Resume (PDF, 1MB max).
- Portfolio (PDF, 15 page max, 7MB max).
- Planned project (6 000 words max).
- Links to YouTube, Vimeo, etc. (optional).
- Sample texts (PDF, 7MB max).

Note:
- Residencies are all year round. Indicate your preferred timeframe in the application form.
- A notification will be send at a positive conclusion of the selection process.
- An 80% attendance is compulsory.
