Call for applications: Arts grants and bursaries in Namibia
The National Arts Council of Namibia (NACN) is calling on artists, arts organisations as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students to apply for grants and bursaries.

Grants
The grants are intended for artists and arts organisations that are involved in the fields of performing arts, visual arts, traditional arts, media arts and crafts.
Interested applicants should download and apply to get funding for their projects here. Applications forms can be physically collected at the council's offices (see address below).
The grant will fund such activities as music performances, dance, theatre, paintings, printmaking, sculpting, drawing, expos, festivals, fashion shows, exhibitions as well as arts-related capacity building workshops, training and talent development initiatives. Applications in the field of literature are not accepted during this cycle.
Bursaries
The bursaries are designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2020 academic year. They are intended for all prospective students in art-specific fields. Priority will be given to applications seeking funding for studies in the following specialised fields: arts and culture, administration and management, arts education, and curatorship.

The application deadline for grants and bursaries is 31 October.
Announcements for bursaries and grants will be made in January 2020 and February 2020 respectively.
Important information
- No online applications will be considered.
- Unsigned application forms will be rejected.
- If you have applied for grants successfully in the last two cycles, you are not eligible for application in this cycle.
- Submission of application does not guarantee award of grant and/or bursary and/or full amount required.
- Non-accredited institutions will not be considered for studies.
