Call for applications: French film music festival

Launched in 2010, the festival seeks to highlight the connection between music and cinema. Each year, 70 composers are given the opportunity to meet with producers and directors of short films, features and TV series who are on the lookout for a composer to write original scores.

Successful composers will be introduced to film producers and directors before the beginning of the festival to learn more about the desired music. They will then have a month to write the music. At the festival, composers will hold a 90-minute meeting with the producers and directors for an evaluation of the musical project. 

The submission deadline is 25 January 2019.

Eligibility

• Must be a composer and/or musician.
• Must be interested in the relationship of music and image.
• Must be available to travel on the specified dates. 

How to participate

To enter, composers must download and fill the application form, which should be sent to festival@cineaubagne.fr along with the following material:

• A CV specifying whether you play an instrument.
• A brief letter of motivation.
• Recordings of compositions in MP3 format (maximum 60 MB via WeTransfer or any other online file delivery service).
• A short biography in French and English.
