Call for applications: SEA Foundation residency in the Netherlands
SEA Foundation – AiR Tilburg is calling on artists around the world to apply for its 2020-21 fully-funded residency programme in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
The residence programme is intended for artists in the following disciplines: sound, performance art, visual art, fiber art, sculpture, media art, design, curation, art critique, art theory, artistic research and architecture as well as drawing & painting.
The programme is intended for two artists whose work and life demands both rigorous engagement as well as an urgency to progress in their practice.
Applicants should download the application form and read the guidelines before they apply. Interested participants are required to pay a registration fee of €35 ($45) by Paypal, direct debit using IBAN and SWIFT or credit card.
The applications deadline is 15 November and the winners will be announced by 1 February.
Requirements
- Samples of work from the past five years.
- All images in the portfolio should have captions providing information on size, materials and year of production.
- CV (max three pages).
- Include a selfie at work.
- Proof of application fee payment.
All documents should be sent via email in PDF format along with the application form using WeTransfer to info@seafoundation.eu.
Selection process
Applications will be assessed based on:
- Artistic merit: this includes the quality of your work.
- The relevance for your practice: this includes how your method is related to a global or local context.
- Your attitude and skills: this includes your ambition and your visual and reflective skills.
