The winners will be selected by a panel of judges including record label publishers, producers, A&R execs from Universal Music, Warner and Sony Music, and other distinguished professionals.
“Our competition offers a shot at the big time for songwriters, original solo artists and bands everywhere around the world,” USA Songwriting Competition said. “For you it is the contest that might just open the right doors, make the right connections and get your songs heard."
Artists relations head Karen Randle told Music In Africa that the competition was closely monitoring the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“All entries are entered online or by mail and never through in-person live performances,” Randle said. “As the situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health, safety and well-being of our community. USA Songwriting Competition remains open and operational with appropriate measures to protect the health of the community. We will continue to update the community regularly to keep you informed of additional measures.”
