Call for entries: International Acoustic Music Awards

The awards, which are based in the US, strive to promote excellence in acoustic music performance across various nationalities, genres and artistry.

"We are proud to be in our landmark 16th year! Entrants come from all over the world: Australia, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Germany, USA, South Africa, etc.” reads the awards' website. “We are not surprised as there are always gifted music artists and songwriters out there like you. We are arguably the best showcase and platform for your talent. Entering the contest is your first step.”

The submission deadline is 8 November 2019. The winners will be notified by 31 January 2020.

Requirements

There is no age limit but applicants will be required to pay an entry fee of $35 to the IAMAs via VISA, Mastercard or cheque/money order, and send the following:

• URL MP3 links of the song, which can be uploaded on either SoundCloud, YouTube or ReverbNation.
• Lyrics sheet (please include English translation if applicable).
• Press kit (optional).

• AAA/Alternative

• Open/AOG  
• Country/Bluegrass   
• Best Group/Duo   
• Best Male Artist   
• Best Female Artist

Applicants will be judged by top music industry pros based on:

• Performance
• Songwriting skills
• Composition skills
• Song choice
• Music production
• Originality/artistry

Prizes

• The overall grand winner will receive $11 000 worth of merchandise.
• The winners in each category will receive $900 worth of merchandise and services.
• Runner-up in each category will receive $600 worth of merchandise and services.
