Open call: International Acoustic Music Awards

Unlike other music industry competitions, IAMA focuses on developing new markets for acoustic artists and labels with or without CD releases. It also promotes excellence in acoustic music performance and artistry.

Successful artists will win prizes in the following eight different categories:

• Folk/Americana/Roots
• AAA/Alternative
• Instrumental
• Open
• Bluegrass
• Best Male Artist
• Best Female Artist
• Best Group/Duo

Judging is based on:

• Excellence in music performance
• Songwriting.
• Composition.
• Song choice
• Music production.
• Originality.

Prizes

Acoustic artists in various genres can gain exciting radio and web exposure through this competition, including:

• An overall grand prize of $11 000 worth of merchandise.
• First prizes in all categories win $900 worth of merchandise and services.
• Runner-up prizes in all categories receive $600 worth of merchandise and services.
• All first prizes and runner-up winners will receive a track on IAMA compilation CD which goes out to radio stations.
