Davido to co-host Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio this Friday

The global African radio show will feature a mix of traditional and contemporary sounds from the continent, while spotlighting up-and-coming artists. Previous guest hosts have included the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage, with each episode providing an intimate and insightful look at the artist’s career.

The forthcoming episode will feature a segment dedicated to Davido’s latest album Timeless released on Columbia featuring fellow Nigerians Asake and The Cavemen, Grammy-winning Beninese legend Angelique Kidjo, South Africa’s Focalistic and British-Nigerian rapper Skepta.  

As part of the show, Davido will offer behind-the-scenes insights into the project, also disclosing his picks for the five hottest African tracks of the moment. The lineup includes new songs from Victony, Bnxn and Black Sherif, among others. 

The programme’s Africa Rising segment will highlight the latest crop of African superstars, with Nigerian singer Lojay as the standout talent on Apple Music’s playlist. Fans can listen to the show on Apple Music 1 or via this link.

Eearlier this week, Davido performed a live medley comprising ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’ on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the US. He was backed by British band The Compozers.
