Ghana: M.anifest to speak at Influencer Africa forum
Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has been named among the leading African influencers who will speak at this year’s Influencer Africa forum in Accra, Ghana, on 27 May.
Organised by Accra-based digital marketing and PR agency WaxPrint Media, the programme seeks to highlight opportunities for influencers on social platforms and online communities while providing a platform for brands, marketers and influencers to explore the various aspects of influencer partnerships.
The virtual forum, a part of the which will broadcast live from Martini Film Studios in Accra, will feature one-on-one conversations and panel discussions with a focus on the role of technology in marketing. The organisers say the programme will also include presentations by African tech-based influencer marketing platforms that facilitate connections between influencers and brands.
M.anifest, who has been associated with brands such as Martell and Absa Bank, will share his experiences with the corporate sector and provide insight into how creatives can position themselves to attract deals. He will also provide perspectives on navigating negotiations and the role that brand partnerships play in the digital space.
“The growth of influencer marketing shows no signs of slowing down globally and the same goes for African markets,” WaxPrint Media director of strategy Muhammida El Muhajir said. “Despite the challenges when it comes to working with influencers, brands continue to turn to influencers to drive engagement and sales, and influencers are finding creative and lucrative ways to connect brands and products with their communities.”
She added: “Influencer marketing is one of the most impactful forms of marketing, especially with the rise of social media and technology. Brands are still attempting to better understand how to evaluate the impact on awareness and sales, and influencers are gaining knowledge of their value and role in enhancing campaigns. We are thrilled to provide a platform to engage with market leaders in Africa, vibrant influencers and global pioneers to explore the current state and future of influencer marketing on the continent.”
Other speakers include actress and broadcaster Joselyn Dumas, celebrity blogger and journalist Ameyaw Debrah, Pernod Ricard’s Jeannette Quashie, Strut Agency Los Angeles’ Nekeda Newell-Hall, Ripple Influence CEO Therese Jones, Travelstart country manager Bukky Akomolafe, and LSF PR founder and CEO Bidemi Zakariyau Akande, who will moderate a brand panel featuring representatives from the banking, mobile, technology and alcohol industries.
